"Let's share yoga"
A community project...
"Sharing Yoga" is a half-day event, born from a simple desire: to transmit and make Yoga accessible to as many people as possible.
The project is based on two essential intentions.
The first objective is to introduce the Sivananda tradition and, through it, a vision of Yoga that goes beyond the practice of postures. Yoga is also a work on breath and mind, a philosophy, a way to better understand oneself, and, more broadly, a true art of living. It is also an opportunity to showcase the Sivananda Ashram, the place where this tradition continues to be lived and passed on.
The second aim is to make this practice truly accessible. Currently, the cost of classes, workshops, or retreats can be a barrier for some people. However, financial means should not prevent someone from discovering and practicing yoga.
That's why Partageons le Yoga doesn't have an entrance fee. Participation is based solely on the principle of free donation: everyone is free to give according to their means and desires, with no minimum amount and no obligation. Giving nothing should never be an obstacle to participation.
This initiative is also a gesture of solidarity: the donations are not intended for me. They are given directly to the Sivananda Ashram, in order to contribute to its operation and to support the transmission and continuity of this Yoga tradition.
Thus, those who cannot give can participate. Those who wish to contribute give what they want and what they can. In both cases, everyone has their rightful place.
Let's share Yoga, it's ultimately a simple idea: to receive, practice, transmit and share, so that Yoga can remain a living and accessible teaching for everyone.
Half-day program:
Sharing Yoga is designed as a morning of discovery, practice and sharing around different dimensions of Yoga.
Everyone is free to participate in the entire morning or only in the activities that interest them. Therefore, it is not necessary to follow the whole program: you can create your own morning according to your desires, your level, and your availability.
Participant reception
The first part is to arrive at a leisurely pace, explore the venue, meet the participants and present the schedule for the morning.
Silent meditation — 30 min
A time of silent meditation to start the day in calm, to refocus and gradually establish an inner presence.
Sivananda Hatha Yoga — Beginner Level — 1 hour
An accessible course to discover the traditional Sivananda practice, its fundamental postures and essential principles, with adaptations allowing everyone to practice at their own pace.
Sivananda Hatha Yoga — Intermediate Level — 1.5 hours
A more complete practice following the traditional structure of the Sivananda course, with pranayama, Sun Salutation, asanas and relaxation.
Yoga Nidra — 1 hour
The morning ends with a Yoga Nidra session, a deep practice of conscious relaxation allowing the body and mind to gradually release tension and integrate the morning's practice.
Whether it's the whole morning or just one class: everyone is free to experience Sharing Yoga in their own way.
fundraising
Through the yoga classes I offer, I hope to share a path of peace, presence, and simplicity. Donations collected are given to the Sivananda Ashram in Neuville-aux-Bois, as a token of gratitude for the teachings I have received. This fundraising campaign serves as a bridge between what we practice together here and what is passed on there. Thank you for your support and trust.
